Update on burn area
Andy and I took a quick hike today to check out the burned area from a lightning strike fire earlier this summer. Most of the area is confined to within the Edison Loop to Intake 2 section of the race. Primarily there is a lot of burned out scrub, lots of burned trees and areas that have been cleared of burned timber. Some grass is already growing back. There were lots of deer and coyote prints in the burnt areas, so the wildlife is still in the area. By next spring, we expect to see new growth and gradual restoration of vegetation over the next many years.
