Aid Station Driving Directions

Millpond: Via Hwy 395 - follow Hwy 395 north out of town towards Reno for approximately six miles, turn left on Ed Powers Road, then right on Sawmill Road - "Millpond Recreation Park" sign. Follow road for about 3/4 mile to left turn-in to Millpond, follow signs to start. Parking is near start area or in tennis court parking lot.

Via West Line Street - follow West Line Street west (towards Mt Tom), and follow race signs. Bear right onto Red Hill Road, about three miles out of town, for one mile, then right on Ed Powers for about one mile, then left on Sawmill Road for about 3/4 mile. Millpond turn-in is on the left, follow signs to start and parking lots.

Buttermilk Road - all races: Return to Ed Powers Road, turn right, drive to intersection of Hwy 168, turn right, drive about three miles to Buttermilk Road turn off. You will see the Hwy 168 aid station, which is 3.7 miles from the finish.

Take the dirt road west, about three miles, cross the cattle guard and continue about another 1/4 mile to the aid station. Please do not park on the vegetation.

Intake 2 - 100k and 50 mile races: Return to Hwy 168, turn right, and drive several miles towards Bishop Creek. Pass the South Lake turn-off on the left, continue another mile towards Lake Sabrina, and take the left turnoff to Intake 2.

Bishop Creek - 100k and 50 mile races: Return to Hwy 168, turn right, and then take the South Lake turnoff.Return to Hwy 168, turn right, and then take the South Lake turnoff. Head towards South Lake, and Bishop Creek Lodge aid station is about three miles up the road. You could buy lunch there at the old fishing lodge, restaurant and bar!

Highway 168 - All races: Return down the hill and call in at Highway 168 aid station, near the Buttermilk Road turnoff.

Tungsten City - All races: Drive back down Highway 168, turn onto Ed Powers Road.  Drive through the four-way stop intersection at Rocking K and continue on Ed Powers Rd. for about 200 yards. Turn left onto Tungsten City Rd. – a wide dirt road with some slow spots. Drive west (towards Mt Tom) for about 1.75 miles, cross McGee Creek, continue westwards and the aid station is located near upper McGee Creek.
